MEANING OF THE SUR PEACOCK
As every brand has an animal to Represent it, we wanted something that was Different and a bit personal. We picked an animal that would Represent true character that comes from results of a situation in which, one is being tested as a whole! CEO of SUR was in total awe and captured by the symbolism of the peacock. From that point, she was determined it was the essence of SUR's beauty.
Peacocks are symbolic for re-growth and rejuvenation, royalty, respect, honor, and integrity. They are also a symbol of beauty, Love, and passion. The peacock helps you to see the beauty in the smallest or simplest things, and show you to walk your path with gratitude. Design elements of the peacock has 17 feathers. 17 represents total Complete Victory; overcoming the enemy.
We want to Shed Light into who you are now, not who you were! There’s always room to improve despite the options. If there is one thing you gotta be true to, it’s yourself!
SUR is all about shedding light on being a 'Real One'. To be Soul Uniquely Real means 'Real One' and having what it takes to remain a 'Real One'. SUR solely stands on the biblical definition of a Soul: your soul is made up of your mind, will, emotions, and imagination.

Born and raised in San Francisco, CA, district 10 to be exact, the owner of SUR happens to a 24 year old Samoan young woman. The youngest of 7 children, Destiney Suisuilimameaatuimanu’aiasoanamua Satele has always been more in tuned into styling since she was able to pick out her own outfits. From wearing plastic princess heels from Walgreens at a early age to real Payless heels at age 9 to now a sneaker head, it all started from a sense into the style of the perfect shoe. Clothing has became a factor as soon as she was able to buy her own clothes. Being able to piece or match clothing together has became something like a hobby. Destiney is the stylist type to buy the shoe first and worry about the outfit later. This is what sparked the fashion sense and later evolved into a deeper level. She is not your average sneaker head to just throw on a basic white or black T-shirt. She takes everything to the next level and has to make the entire look make sense. After struggling to find sizes often and consistently supporting several local clothing brands... she finally found the courage to step into something she naturally and effortlessly enjoys to do. For 3 plus years, many have admired her gift of style. Whether it was piecing styles for glamor shots, curating styles for her family photo shoots, or simply matching clothing pieces for everyday wear. As a die-hard sneaker head, Destiney grew a passion for streetwear. Not only has she accepted the challenge to start her own brand, but she has also committed to helping people embrace an everyday style of their own and develop one that they can feel confident in on a daily basis. No matter their size, height, weight or life situation.
